Filet Crochet Table Runner

This table runner was crocheted with size 10 crochet cotton and crochet hook size 7 or 8. It's been a while since I made this so I'm not sure but either will work. It is started at the center, worked out to one end, then the thread is reattached and the other half worked. At the end I added a row of single crochet all the way around, spacing them so the squares would maintain their shape.

Each square consists of a double crochet (yarn around hook once) and a chain 2. A filled square has two double crochets in its center. At the end of the row, chain 3 and turn. Chain 3 counts as first dc.
Left half of lower half of chart
Begin second half by turning chart around and beginning with row 2 (Row 1 is worked only once). For diagrams of filled diamonds (central motifs on table runner) and increasing and decreasing solid and open meshes see charts below.
