The Knitsmart Keyplates

The Knitsmart keyplates are very much like the keyplates of the ISM, except that they are reversible. There are 4 of them, giving you a total of 8 stitch sizes (10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, and 45). The Sweatermaker came with all 4, the Afghaner with only 2. There is no intarsia keyplate for the KnitSmart machine but the ISM intarsia keyplate as well as the regular ISM keyplates do fit into the KnitSmart carriage. They KnitSmart keyplates seem to have less "wiggle" room in the KnitSmart carriage than do the ISM keyplates in the ISM carriage. Maybe that's why this carriage knits very smoothly, even with the smallest keyplate.
